Emi Battaglia

Emi Battaglia is a longtime literary junkie with over two decades of experience in the publishing world, and an undying love of beaches, books, rescue mutts, her two children, and her husband – not necessarily in that order. An advocate of authors and artists alike, she brings to EBPR not just a wide breadth of knowledge and insight to every project she takes on, but the dedication and drive required to do it well. Most recently, Battaglia served as Director of Marketing and Publicity for Regan Arts, where she worked with a host of successful authors including Mariel Hemingway, UFC Fighter Ronda Rousey, and Khloe Kardashian, as well as on bestselling campaigns including ISIS: Inside the Army of Terror, by Michael Weiss and Hassan Hassan.

Prior to her tenure with Regan Arts, Emi held a number of senior positions within the publishing world, including her role as Vice President, Associate Publisher and Marketing Director at Grand Central Publishing (formerly Warner Books), and earlier roles with Goldberg McDuffie Communications, St. Martin’s Press, Simon & Schuster and New American Library. She considers herself fortunate to have worked with an array of accomplished authors and modern day icons, including Martha Stewart, Nicholas Sparks, Stephen Colbert, Jon Stewart, the estate of Martin Luther King Jr., Jack Welch, Kitty Kelley, Michael D. Eisner, Maria Shriver, Bill Gates, Michael Moore, David Baldacci, Brad Meltzer, Nelson Demille, Ellen DeGeneres, Carole King, Rocco DiSpirito, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jane Goodall.

A graduate of Fordham University, Emi belongs to a number of organizations including the Publishers’ Lunch Club, the Women’s Media Group, and the Publishers’ Publicity Association, for which she has served as President. She was twice awarded the Literary Marketplace Award for Excellence in Publicity. In October 2022, she won the Zibby Award for Best Publicist. Aside from her family, her dogs, and her love of all things literary, Emi is most inspired by her volunteer work, most notably as the Founder of Irvington Girl Talk, a peer-to-peer mentoring organization for young women. She currently lives in Westchester with her husband, two children, two rescue pups, and too many books to count.
